Q1/ How do you know the Gledhill/Davies Family?

Lowri treated my dog Corran many years ago now, and inspired me to become involved in vet rehab. Only
years later did we realise Bob grew up about a mile away from my home!

Q2/ What is your proudest accomplishment?

Achieving my 3rd degree black belt at the same time as watching my young student achieve his second and realising with pride that he’d outclassed me comprehensively.

Q3/ How are you getting involved with the 3 peaks MotorOn challenge?

Logistics! I’m ferrying anything and everything that needs to be moved to where it should be. I like to think of this as being part of the Tour cavalcade.

Q4/ What’s your favourite thing to listen too to keep motivated?

I’m a bit old school and refuse to wear headphones when exercising or outdoors. Before a taekwondo competition I will probably have ‘Not afraid’ by Eminem on. Quietly.

Q5/ What influenced you to become involved with MotorOn Cymru?

I love an endurance challenge (as my other half repeatedly tells me when booking holidays) and this is a good way for he and I to do something we are good at to help address the shocking fact that MND is not rare, should not be incurable and is unbelievably underfunded.

Q6/ What are your top tips when training for an event?

There is always time to train. You just need to look harder at your day and your priorities and decide you really want to do it. If your head is there your body will follow.

Q7/ If you were cooking dinner for 4 celebrities, who would you invite and what would you cook?

I will invite Nirmal Purja, Nicola Adams, Adam Duritz and Jacinda Ardern. We’re getting a takeout to make sure they all survive.

Q8/ What is your biggest fear?

That someone will pop up on the start line of the challenge with a bike and make me ride it.

Q9/ What would you sing at karaoke?

I’m banned. Honestly can’t hit a note, though I’m pretty good at remembering the words 🤣

Q10/ If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

Flight.
